Bringing public sector customers together to learn about AWS

AWS Immersion Days for public sector are a series of events that are designed to educate public sector customers and partners about AWS products and services and help you develop the skills needed to build, deploy, and operate your infrastructure and applications in the cloud.

AWS Immersion Days leverage a modular content format and are structured to provide general overviews of a given service or solution. Hands on labs provide you with an immersive experience in the AWS console. Sessions are delivered by AWS public sector solutions architects and subject matter experts.

Why attend

Whether you are new to AWS or an experienced user, you can learn something new at an AWS Immersion Day. These events are designed to help you develop the right skills to create new insights, enable new efficiencies, and make more accurate decisions.

Who should attend

Government, education, nonprofit, and healthcare organizations who want to learn how AWS can serve their unique challenges and accomplish complex missions with limited resources. This is an introductory event with foundational level content and labs. These events are designed for the technical audience including Infrastructure Administrators, Database Administrators, Developers, and Architects. However, anyone is welcome to attend and learn new skills.

No prior AWS or cloud computing experience is required.

Do I need experience using AWS services to attend the event?

Not at all. This is an introductory event to learn about security. No prior AWS or cloud computing experience is required.

Will using the services during the event cost anything?

During the Public Sector Immersion Days, there is no cost to you. You will be given an AWS account for the day to perform the labs in a temporary environment.

Do I need an AWS account to attend?

Not at all. However, if you would like help setting up your account, just let your moderator know when you join and we will setup a time that works for you.

How many events can I attend?

There are no restrictions on the number of events you can attend.

What should I do if I do not receive a confirmation email after registering?

Please reach out to aws-wwps-centralsa-us-events@amazon.com and make sure you include the event title and date in your email.

How can I contact with the AWS Public Sector Solutions Architecture team if I have questions that aren't listed here or feedback?

All attendees will receive a survey during the event and are encouraged to share insights and recommendations. You can also contact our team via email aws-wwps-centralsa-us-events@amazon.com.

Do I need to download anything before the event?

In 2023, we will be utilizing Webex. For specific platform requirements please visit: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/fz1e4b/System-requirements-for-Webex-services. We recommend all customers to download Webex app (client to participate) prior to the event for a better experience.
